about
It took me six months to write this song. I used it as a mental space in the lead up and wake of one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make.
In that way, it was actually intended to be more of a song about dealing with a cross-roads, but as I kept writing that theme sort of became periphery to valuing the people close to you that make the risks that comes with hard decisions worth taking.
Tunnel-eyed dreams make a lousy bed, so I played it safe like it was obvious. You are the fire burning in my head. I heard your name and I found my rest.
I'm not one to push my luck but..
I see the wind fix your hair.
I see the blood rush your cheeks.
You are the steel in my eyes.
Come here to me my love.
Shadow-making cryptic sun: I think I found my waxen wings for once.
There's so much fear and good in us manipulated wandering dust.
I'm not one to push my luck but..
I see the wind fix your hair.
I see the blood rush your cheeks.
You are the steel in my eyes.
Come here to me my love.
What is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is safe, what is.. ?
What if I, what if I, what if I, what if I, what if I, what if I, what if I, what if I, what if.. ?
I see the wind fix your hair.
I see the blood rush your cheeks.
You are the steel in my eyes.
Come here to me my love.
